Fritz and Srader Join CCCU Team at Uganda Christian University

A group in front of the Buganda parliamentDrs. Bill Fritz (Education) and Doyle Srader (Communication) spent the last week of May in Uganda. The two NCU professors were invited by Uganda Christian University to take part in a site visit in support of a study abroad program sponsored by the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Since 2004, the Uganda Studies Program has welcomed students from Christian universities to spend a full semester studying at UCU, taking seminars in World Christianity and completing internships for credit with ministry organizations that serve children, the elderly, and the disabled. “We enjoyed conversation and fellowship with a lot of brilliant, loving people,” says Dr. Srader, “both from Uganda Christian University and from other American colleges, like Biola and Wheaton and Grove City.” Events included chapel attendance, a social with the UCU Honors College, a networking tea with the UCU faculty, and a trip to Kampala to visit culturally significant sites like the Buganda parliament. “The USP program would help students grow in their faith,” says Dr. Fritz, “as well as a deeper understanding of the world we live in.”
